i never knew why Voldemort was so evil...we know HOW he became evil and his back story but there was really never anything in his life that would account for him turning into some mean bald snake guy...totally unexplained..

i dunno but im guessing that it could be because he wanted total power and sometimes to get total power you have to do some bad things, and maybe he liked doing them after a while so he kept goin with it.....

He was always a bit nasty. I remember he said "I knew I was special", so even as a kid, he felt that he was better than others. He thought his mother was weak because she died, and then hated his father when he found out the true story. So I suppose it was because his naive view of things as a child never left him, and he just got worse and worse.

ya true, and when he was younger he prob didnt like the fact that he had to leave his one home at hogwarts and return to the orphanage..... plus DD didnt give him the job at the castle when he was 18 or sumthin..... there are a bunch of things in his life that suck lol

yeah but the reason Voldy wanted the job was so he could look for more items from the founders. i honestly think that Voldemort took his being an orphan and knew that in order to prove himself to everyone, he had to have power. i think that has a lot to do with why he got so evil. The more power he had, the more of a wizard he was to everyone else.
