Keep in mind that this movie is not supposed to be a perfect copy from Harry Potter! The movie should also be fun/exciting and so on.. It's also that they cant make their movies to big, spreading it over 2 parts is not profitable I think. WB mayb tried to make it as good as the books, but they also want some profit out of it. So they could have removed the more duller scenes and even added some scenes to make it more exciting and stuff......

what you said was true, how movies arent supposed to be exact but the thing is that they elimated so much from the original book that the movie kinda clunked on for two hours. like one scene was kinda a seperate thing, not leading into the next or something. they did shoot all the main 'exciting' parts, but the little events in between is what helps the entire thing flow.

I did find one thing very annoying. That they didn't even bother to mention WHO the Marauders were.. It seems like Harry (the movie one) still does not kno that his father is Prongs. Which means he doesn't kno why his Patronus was a deer or somethin.. It's just that this was very confusing, like when Luping told Harry he could use the map... Harry didn't even bother asking him HOW it could be that Lupin could use the map.. :S. I hoped he would tell Harry @ the end of the movie (the pars where he was leaving) but he didn't mention anything about who made the Marauder's Map... I dont remember when he did tell Harry in the real book but im sure that he DID tell him..

i basically think that if you hadn't read the book, or any other of the harry potter books, you wouldn't have been able to understand the 3rd harry potter movie

The third movie was my favourite so far. When I watched it I didn't think that it didn't flow well or anything. I didn't even notice the fact that Harry never found out about the Marauders, lol, and I've read the books about 20 times each (except for OotP, I've only read that twice). But, yeh, now that you mention it, it was a bit wierd. I was, however, extremely annoyed about them leaving the Quidditch Final and Wood completely out of the movie. I'm re-reading PoA now and I just finished that chapter a few minutes ago. I still couldn't help grinning as I finished it, it's great. So, yeh, annoyed there. But, if you're not a big Potter fan and haven't read the books, you wouldn't think about any of the stuff we did, about the Marauders or anything. It wouldn't occur to you. After seeing it a few times you may think 'How did Lupin use the map?' and justify with 'It must have not been blanked out' or something. It's no great loss to moviegoers, but to us fans, well, bah! lol

A friend of mine (stupidly) prefers to see the movie before she reads the books, she was very confused by the movie, because it didn't flow as well as the first 2, she then read the book and felt that she had a better understanding (well of course....duh!!!), but she won't read GoF till after november. All in all I felt it wasn't bad, but it could have been a lot better, especially the werewolf. Poor Lupin, that was the worst CGI in the movie, and considering how good Buckbeak was it made it all the worse. Also I wish they wouldn't give all Ron's lines to Hermione, making Ron look stupid most of the time!

I still think the movie was great, even though they left out who the Mauraders were. But then again, you can't compare the films with the books, because then the films had to be several hours long. And personaly I think that it would be very boring!

I thought POA was too short, it could have been longer. It was still enjoyable and I liked the way the movie shows how Harry's world is getting darker and more complex. We needed to see more Draco.
