No, I don't think they can. Remember in CoS, when the attacks mount with Hermione and Penelope Clearwater being Petrified, students have to be in their common room by a certain time. So Harry and Ron visit Hagrid by using the Cloak. While getting there, Harry notices there was loads of activity with Prefects and ghosts patrolling the corridors to see whether anything unusual was taking place. Students are not allowed to be out right then. None noticed them. So they can't see through them. No, I don't think they can... TOC does have a point... The Ghosts might've saw them and if they did, they'll report them... Uhuh, yeah...

well, why WOULD they be able to?? i mean, just because they are dead, they can see the invisible? That doesnt make sense. Plus there is no proof/hints in the books that ghosts can see through the cloaks

as for animals, well, remember in book 4, when harry was stuck on the stairs with the cloak over his head? ms. norris smelt him , but if she saw him, i am positive she wouldh've let mr.filch know. she seemed confused smelling the soap but now seeing anything.

It was mentioned earlier that you don't need an invisibility cloak to become invisible....i wonder if that has anything to do with occlumency or whatever it's called. i think most if not all of magic in harry's world is done via the mind...i bet if they had the confidence they could do all the magic with their mind. i bet if harry concentrated hard enough he could become invisible without any kind of cloak. he's got the mind for it....but it's the courage and believing in himself that he's missing sometimes.

even if he could, i doubt he wouldn't. he has no patience now. not even with his friends. he would get pissed easily..... and give up.

sometimes when people are put under such extreme stress a different side of them will emerge....it's a survival technique (sorry i was a psych major in college) who knows if parts of LV will come out of him due to the stress that he's under.

Voltron, you have a very good influence on our dear little Adam.
well [voltron], about the occlumency thing... it could've been that doo-dem that moody did to harry when the OotP was rescuing him from the Dursley's in book 5. ya kno, the camoflouge (sp?) thing?
