It was Gryffindor I think, Hermione said so in book 1, but that was a long time ago, my memory might be fuzzy.
That chat thing with JKR was awesome, she did answer a lot of questions =]

ya dumbledore was gryffindor because in the 4th movie near the end when he was talkin to harry in the dormitory he said that he had burnt down the curtains off the bed in his 4th year.. and also i read somewhere that someone said dumbledore and harry were related..(we no its not true) but because they both lived in gordrics hollow and that they were both in gryffindor

yea but i never listen to the facts in the movie cause they are distorted and made up...yea, i guess he could have been in gryffindor.

I think he was in Gryffindor. He was Transfiguration teacher, and that generally goes along with being Head of Gryffindor.

i was also wondering when harry died to get rid of the part of voldemort that was still in him did that mean that he isnt able to understand or be able to speak to snakes ??

Good question. Is Harry still a Parselmouth?
I think he probably is, as he was one all his life and would stiill have the knowledge. After all, Ron isn't a Parselmouth and he was able to replicate Harry saying "open".
