hahah. since last night the pages of comments on mugglenet practically doubled!! this is an amazing world we live in. and with each negative comment i grew madder and madder. and no, i don't care if madder isn't a real word. hahah.
especially in point with his relationship with harry. just because his character is gay people can no longer see him as a father figure. WHICH MAKES ME SO MAD. whew. but, i need to put this all behind me and realize that some people will always be .. i will always disagree with them.
=]
p.s. i stole this from a girl on facebook, from a hp group. i thought it was brilliant.
"dumbledore being gay is like knowing the character's birthdays, or that in the end, harry and malfoy can look at each other with some respect, or atleast indifference. i think it just give more insite, like... maybe dumbledore's homosexuality had something to do with the disapproval he so often met dispite his greatness? or purhaps, why he was such an advocate for equality for all persons and creatures... and it probably does have something to do with what happened on the day his sister died, and defeting the one he loved makes him even of a great man in my eyes because he could put himself aside so easy. Dumbledore will not be different in the movies, or reprints of the book, but it'll probably be explored more in the encyc."

i love Dumbledore either way and I did look at some of the comments on mugglenet and it totally just ticked me off. there's no reason for you to stop liking Dumbledore just because of his sexuallity. He is still Dumbledore, you just more know about him. I really agree with that stolent blog/comment you have bookie. it's the best way of phrasing it.

Well i'm not gonna stop liking Dumbledore, I'm just gonna ignore this information cause it's stupid and a stunt. I wanna know stuff about all the characters too but do I need to know...nope, especially when it involves things that personal.
I also think that these started out as children books and telling characters sexual orientation is perverse. Especially when it has to do with a character that was considered a mentor. It makes that lifestyle seem okay and it's not, it's unnatural and wrong.
It's poor judgement that she said anything about it.
I mean sure i wanna know the surface things...who'd they marry, where do they work? but i believe since it is a fictional book that some things should be left up to the imagination...and that this "new fact" is just too much information
I know some people that can't have too much info about these books...but they are fanatical and should calm down. Some of us (mainly me) are okay with not knowing everything so if JKR could spare me from anymore stupid scandels about my favorite books and turning them into a 5 minute story on every news station...i would really appreciate it.
