Only reason I suggested it because of the "gleam of triumph" in his eye when Harry told him that Voldemort could touch him.

Well, maybe it's because he knows that Harry will now not have an advantage over Voldemort like that, and so now he has to do it on his own? i really don't know why he'd have a gleam of triumph.

OK, we all know that Dumbledore is powerful. BUT, how did he get so powerful? Did he have to learn everything? How can he see through invisibility cloaks? I dunno.....I was just pondering that...... probably he is just a talented wizard? or something more which we shall find out in 6th or 7th book. i agree there is alot we dont know about the teacher, for one he must be over 100, so does that mean he still has the philosophers/sorcerrors stone? if not how can he still be alive. maybe he has secret powers of his own i read somewhere that he is 150 or even older. (nina already mentioned that) and that mcgonagall is around 70 and snape 35. it IS possible that dumbledore still has the soccerer stone, but then it would not be very fair from his side, wouldn't it? he said he would destroy it. maybe he uses it just to live a bit more to help harry fight voldemort and then when harry wins, he would die? and just to mention that i was TERRIFIED when i read that dumbledore had that triumph look in his eyes when harry said voldemort can touch him now, just as somebody mentioned before. and, as also somebody mentioned, what if dumbledore is actually evil?

dumbledore would NEVER keep himself alie with the aide of something like the sorcerors stone. i donot think that would be humble or honorable... i dont thihnk it is like dumbledore.

yeah, like the jedi in Star Wars. they have the forxe surrounding them... and so on and so on. maybe wizard, especially if they are reallly powerfull have mystical magic surrounding them, simular to the force, as a mark of there. i mean, think of dumbledore... he seems so frail and week, yet powerfull and intimidating at the same time. and i dont think dumbledore is close to 500 years old, i mean c'MON get real! i heard he is more of like 150... it was on a official site or something, i dunno, besides that is more realistic.

well, if we decide to use the knight2king theory with ron being dumbledore but used a time turner it would make perfect sense how dumbledore could "see" through the invisibility cloak because he would already know where they were in the room because he had already been there as ron...under the cloak.
