hahah nice one bookie but i do have to agree with you guys on something, snape was always good in my book and harry would have to die in the end was what i always stood by. i was so happy that she made him die and yet he came back to life. i have to say that was the most exciting part in my eyes well not really but it did make me go OMG at the top of my lungs! lol scared my mother have to death too.

i loved the ending but i always did hate snape...and i think he was still a mean person, i love the way JKR put it, Snape a straight up hero, he was still cruel, and unfair at the end of it all, but he was very brave to try and make up for his mistakes.
I really liked how "love" saved the day in more than one way. It was the love that Lily had for Harry that made him able to defeat Voldemort. but it also the love that Snape had for her that gave her that choice...i think that is pretty cool.

I agree about Snape. I still don't particularly like him. While it showed that he wasn't the coward Harry accused him of being, it didn't make up for what he did in the first place, and the way he treated Harry so badly just for looking like James.

well i think he also treated Harry so badly because Harry was a representation of what Snape could of had with Lily (possibily) if he hadn't been a complete jerk with her and hadn't gotten into the wrong croud. the fact that harry looked like James probably did have a lot to do with it because look how James treated Snape for seven years. i think all of us would of probably had some anger still if we were in Snape's shoes.

I see your point, but surely being kind to Harry for the sake of love is better than being horrible to him for the sake of hate.

yeah i guess your right but i still can see how it would be difficult for Snape because he would probably mostly see James when he looked at Harry verses seeing Lily. i would think it would be hard to get past that and realize that Harry is a different person but it has been said by a lot of the teachers and Sirius that Harry is a lot like his father so that probably doesn't help either

I think Snape was childish about the whole thing. If he really wanted to show his love for lily he could have just gotten over what James did to him and been if not kind to Harry, at least civil.
There is no excuse for his behavior toward Harry. He should have been angry with himself for being a jerk and losing the girl of his dreams because he was too far up Voldy's butt.
Snape was brave to spy for Dumbledore, but that doesn't change the fact he was still mean and awful. I mean he was mean to Neville for NO reason at all. Jerk! He was so flawed, he spent more of his time being miserable and hating and resenting all those around him when he could have tried to be the man that Lily could have loved. But i guess that was why he got his heart broken, he didn't know how to be "that" man.
