If the actors get to be too old to play the parts as teenagers, then here's what they'll do, and I know this will work, because it worked in LOTR:
They will get new actors to do the acting & speaking, but they will wear masks of the characters (worked for hobbit scale doubles).
Next, they will delete the new actors voices, and will record the original actor's voices in the studio
Lastly, they will lip-sync the old actor's voices to the new actor's mouths...it's foolproof and not very expensive film wise...

you mean they should loop the whole movie? wow...that'd be hard. you realize that the fake people will have to match the voices with the movement of their mouths? and it would look really fake if they didnt do it rite. they looped part of what a girl wants, and you could tell cuz the mouths didnt match the speech...if they can pull if off then hats off to them i guess

I'd love to see all 7 made into movies. I think it would be great. I see no reason why (as long as the actors are agreeable) that all the cast shouldn't be recast. I don't think Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint or Emma Watson would out grow their characters or that we the viewers would not accept them in their roles. If the viewing audience accepted that Luke Perry was a high school kid in 90210, or that John Travolta was a high school kid in Grease (yes I'm dating myself here, I remember when that came out to the movies, I was still in elementary school) I don't see why not the same for Dan, Rupert and Emma. I would love to see all 7 in movies. I'm thrilled that 4 is filming now and can't wait to see it. I know stuff will be left out but really, I don't it's practical to do such a long movie for each book. The economics and politics of moviemaking, just doesn't seem to allow movies much longer than 3 hrs, so don't think a 6hr HP 4 movie is gonna happen. But whatever is done, I'm sure there will be stuff we like and stuff we don't.

Well, yeah, it would be weird to see harry potter played by someone other than Radcliffe. But the thing is that the actors probably don't want to be typecast. They won't want to be forever known as the kid from the Harry Potter movies. It's probably too late for that, though, but what are you gonna do?

Are you saying that Harry Potter should be (in the future) entirely digital Sorry to be blunt but that would suck and i kno that dobby was computerized but the entire movie shouldnt be like that in the future just because daniel, rupert and emma 'outgrow' their characters:-/

I agree. And besides, since when do teenagers actually play teenagers roles?

Oh wow! Someone agrees!! An example to that would be that girl from the Cat and the Hat. Didn't she play like a 5 year old or w/e, when she's actually twice that - 10? And besides, if something as complex as technology can make characters to put into movies, wouldn't something as simple as make up make the actors look a bit younger to fit their role?

Exactly. That's what they do. It's so hard to believe some actors when they play certain roles.

you do know that the actors are like 14 15 yrs old now they are fine i mean they are still around the same age as the charicters and o ya more actors on tv shows that play kids in there teens are usually later in yrs like 19 to 24yrs old.. so even if they get older witch they are going to do ... i think that it will be ok i mean unless they like get really old there is no way they are going to be any older then in their early 20s

See i didn't like the first Dumbledore in the movies...he seemed to serious...i always pictured him as more easy going! Oh and i think they might have to recast only because in the book he is only 15 in the Order of the Phoenix...i mean these kids well be in there 20's by the 7th book! lol, okay well maybe not that old..but still...they are growing up purrty fast

Yup, they're growing fast. But can't they just put make up and make them look younger?
