um.... I don't know how you got that from that post but ANYWHO. lol. yes sorta. I work every week for about three hours in the nursery for my mother and the church ministry. but then I also do random jobs for the church. I worked in the pumkin patch for several hours. I always work at the church fair. painting little kid faces or stuff like that... but not a job with a name tag, a boss and all that stuff. the paying is not worth the work. I do it because I love to see the smiles of the kids when they walk away with a pumkin, or the grins that have when they walk away with a brightly colored face. or the joy in their voice when they see me and call me name!

lol. one thing I like about the jobs I do is I can always call my mom and ask her to bring me home if I am sick and tired of the job, or just had a big fight or am totally embarresed. the strange this is --and you can ask nikki if ya want-- I NEVER get embarresed EVER. it is tottaly weird. a lot of things happen every day to be becuase I am so hyper and talkative, but I never get embarresed!

Off topic guys... I guess its because HP is so popular, they're trying to advertise that the books are "soo good" that they'll become more popular than the Harry Potter series.

yeah that's a good point. but nothing's gonna be more popular than the HP books

^ why do you say that? I don't think its stupid, its just an advertising technique to try and get more readers.

well i agree its stupid. Assuming people will like one book that has magic because they liked a totally different other but its usually not even like HP. and saying someone is the next J.K. if their writing is not like j.K. makes no sense. most of the time one hardly has anything to do with the other if you read (or watch) both. thats whats stupid about it I think. And actually if I read a review that sounds dumb or cliched I usaully don't go read it (or see it). & I also agree that people should do their own thing.

Those are just sayings, their not saying that the person's going to become the next "JK Rowling", their implying that the person's writing is so good, their going to be famous like her, since she's so publicized now. I do agree that people should try and use their own ideas, but its always tempting to use something that's been incredible successful, popular, and brought in a lot of money.

I agree that the whole 'if you liked HP....' is just an advertising thing. I don't think it's good to compare any authors/books to eachother simply because they're all different and its not fair to the authors/readers to impose judgments on them.
