What is it that you enjoy most about the Harry Potter books? Why have millions of copies been sold world wide? What makes this book so popular and different from other books. _________________________________________ I think what draws me to JKR's books is that her books are so detailed and realistic, and yet there is still plenty of mystery and the unknown. I think the fact that the plot is so deep also contributes to why I love these books so much. Daniel Radcliffe stated in an interview that it's "the ideas" ( ) and Quidditch that makes the books so good. Why do you like the HP books so much?

same, really. They aren't my only favourite books though. I like books that are original with a good story line. Mainly fantasy books as well, like Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, Discworld, stuff like that

Ummm...definitely the fantasy element and the magical (pun not intended) world JKR takes us into. I mean, for a Piscean, you have no idea what the dream world and fantasy means...I love it...I thrive on it. Of course, her storylines are imaginative and as Daniel said, detailed which makes the book come alive in my mind with much more ease...

Besides, once the books are done there will still be plenty to talk about for the movies. But yeah, the interest in Harry Potter may decrease somewhat after book 7 has been out a few months but I'm sure HP will survive atleast another decade

I love the details, humor and such stuff. Lol. ;D I think that's why they're popular. And that's a great reason, really.

Glad some of you agree with me I think the fact that the books are fairly unique impacts why people love them so much as well. Like the magic, spells, charms, dueling, everything. It's all so imaginative.

I think JKR will reveal all the secrets, or she will be lynched. lol Probably true (that she will reveal all secrets) but I don't think she'll do so until Book 8 And yes, as I've said before, I'm almost positive that there will be a Book 8 ;D

yeh, but what about all the times she said she's stopping at 7? I doubt she was lying. I guess she could release a book about their futures or something, but I don't think it will be in the same story style as the others. maybe a book about a few years time, but not his life straight after book 7.

It would be weird to read about older Harry, Ron and Hermione. Especially because I'll be 20 then, too. If I live that long, of course. ;D
