Yea, The great Slytherin animal is a .....Lizard! lol. hey all you slytherin lizards! lol, im just kidding.
I think it's good that she changed it. Even though I kno it's a lizard, it just sounds so much better as being a snake, ya know?

Yeah, "slytherin" suits it...but whats the origin of the name? Has it got something to do with "sly" or as Eri says "slithering"?

Well, he might have been. I dunno. Maybe he has a special reason to be at Hogwarts... Maybe he's suppose to cause mischief that's suppose to be good or something? Well... I dunno... Well, no one knows 'cept JKR. Lol..

true but why would snap kill peeves?
but something tells me that snap will give his life for harry i mean as much as he acts like he hates harry he has never turned his back when the real danger was about. He can't in all parts do that anyway i mean they had to have taken an oyth right to protect any and all students no matter what house they belong to

I have a different take on the Peeves thing - I think he is just a minor character whose purpose is to lighten things up a bit and to help cause tension at other times. But I would bet that he doesn't have much of a back story. To be honest he is one of my least favorite characters.

I agree with Minerva...i don't think it really matters what House peeves was from...or if he even was in a House...he is just there to torment our protagonist..nothing more
