I say it kinda sucked, I mean, the movie made me mad! Like everything was different! How Hogwarts was set up, where Hagrids cabbin was. And they didn't explian things.POA is my favorite book of all (so far) but this movie almost ruined it for me. Really. For sticking to the book and give it was 6(outta 10). For just the movie it's self, i give it a 7(outta 10) maybe a 6. I thought this was going to be great, but it wasn't. I could could on about this, but nobody would want to listin to me. But an over all rating, I give Harry Potter POA a 7 outta 10.

My thoughts in the "Discussion" thread for Movies. I voted the first option btw.

Great movie. You can't put it against the book. The book always wins. You've got to watch the movie. Forget about the brilliant book. (I know it's hard)
The movie was amazing. Purists that are over loyal to the book will be miffed. PoA is my favorite book, and the best flick so far.
When you go to see it, pretend you never read it, or the others. Then you'll understand.

I saw it today, and I loved it...how could I not? But I did think it could have had a bit more colour in it - I found most of the movie a bit dark and grey... I must agree with Ronnie too, some things were different, such as Hagrid's hut - it wasn't THAT deep in the forest was it? In the first movies, it was right next to Hogwarts. The Fat Lady was different too, and the position of the Gryffindor common room. The characters seemed almost..different..from the first movie - I thought Ron could have said a bit more. I liked that the movie wasn't slow and it progressed quickly, but I found it a little too choppy (if you know what I mean). I really enjoyed Hermione's part - Emma Watson is getting more mature as an actress. Lupin was very good too. I was sad that Richard Harris can no longer play Dumbledore, but Michael Gambon did the part justice. Buckbeak was done really well...I loved him - he's so cute Hmm..I was a little disappointed that there wasn't much Quidditch in the movie. There could have been some more. Anyway, a really good movie and Alfonso Cuaron did well. He's a brilliant story-teller. Okay, well thats my little summary.

Yeah it was a great movie, I'd give it a 8.5-9/10 rating. If it had been about 20-30 minutes longer I prob. would have given it a 10/10.

It was pretty long already, but I agree that an extra 20-30 minnutes could have been added.

I'm sticking to the idea of bringing back intermission to movies. Where they used to stop the movie in the middle so we can all pee and get more snacks. That would be useful if they (should) make GoF 4 hours.
I do think PoA was too short, but I loved it and it is my fave so far.

I mean they changed where hagrids cabbin is located and the hogwards itself where did that big clock tower come from and THE FIREBOLT coming at the end didn't it come in the middel of the book last time i looked i read the book like 2 times and everytime IT APREARS in the middel of the book. at winter right.

It also was the only time Harry didn't catch the snitch. I'm glad they didn't focus on that.
