Did anyone hear the director of OotP saying that JKR told him their hands would be tied for the 7th movie if they didnt include Kreacher in the 5th movie? So I kept expecting Kreacher to do something really big in the 7th book but nothing really happened. I mean, he tells the trio about the locket but they could easily rework that for the movie I think.... idk.
All in all I liked the 7th book a lot. Nice ending. I am glad Harry didnt die! I didnt realize how badly I wanted him to live until I read the part in book 7 where Dumbledore is telling snape in the memory that harry must die.
Im certainly looking forward to the encyclopedia-type book JKR writes in the future. It would be cool if she wrote Hogwarts a History as well. And a potions and spells book like Fantastic Beasts would be awesome too!

I really liked Kreacher in this book and he did play an important part, I think. I mean he told them his story of woe and RAB's fight to destroy the locket. But i think the most important part was his change in his personality. I mean, in Ootp, did you ever think he would be serving Hermione breakfast!? Plus he totally led a pack at Hogwarts in the last battle. I think he was important....I wish that had been Dobby though.

well I agree Kreacher's story and presence was a nice addition to the book but I'm just saying I don't think it would be impossible to have a 7th movie without him as it seems JKR implied.

I agree. The last movie would not be lacking without the small part that Kreacher played. I think she maybe was just refering to the part either about the cave or when he went to capture Mungundas because they couldn't have gone looking for him themselves...It was not imperative that he be in the movies though.
