Eh, it's silly how they are acting over the age issue. I have seen 13 year old 8th grade boys with dark hairy legs, facial hair, and deep voices that look like they are 18-20. Everyone grows differently. My brother was 15 before he passed and he had hardly any traces of real puberty in him - he had boyish legs, baby smooth face, and his voice was a little deeper but was still barely cracking. So i think the talk about their ages is just pish posh. Columbus is just full of himself and likes to talk a lot for the kids whether they feel that way or not.

I agree... I mean I was in 7th grade when I had to start shaving! everyone has always thought I was older than I really was. ok, that could have been a little because of my height too, but it still applies. you're right, everyone does grow differently and if they replace the characters just becuase they don't fit the image the director wants them to fit, that's just crap! I think they got the best characters they possibly could have, for the most part. and there's a saying that fits here... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" (ok, the grammar's really bad, but the message is a great one!) why mess around with something that works until you DO break it?

[glow=red,2,300]I think that they may have to eventually replace the actors, because if Harry Potter 6 takes another 3 years, and the 7th, then they will be quite a lot older then their characters then[/glow]

It might help if they have to make like 2 movies for GoF, then another 2 movies for OotP, because if they go at a one year or something pace for each movie, they will have to stop for JK Rowling to finish the books.

[glow=blue,2,300]I read that Ootp (as in the movie) would probably be out in 2007 and thats when Daniel would be 18, Tom - 20, Emma - 17 and Rupert - 19 I wonder if they'd stay on!!! I mean, Id love to see the same quartet stick on but...keep your fingers crossed!!! Ugh! Cartoon?!?!?! Imagine that...*sigh*[/glow]

Just because I think they will decide that Harry, Ron, and Hermione are too old for their parts. And then they will get new actors. I don't think anyone will like the movies with new actors. So I think they will stop making them. I don't agree. I mean, they earn so much with that movie and every1 that had seen 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th version is going to see it. I'm sure. And BTW; they are not going to change actors, don't worry.

The point is that new actors might just damage the Harry Potter franchise as people don't want anyone taking the place of the already-accepted and loved actors. But then again, I don't want them to stop with the movies!!! Argh! I'll be 20 in 2007!!!

Right now, I'm trying to concentrate on the 3rd move and how that is going to go because I'm not very convinced with the whole 'no robes' bit.
