wow! Anyone besides me ever wrote Harry Potter peotry? Has anyone ever seen that movie Patch Adams with Robin Williams. He reads half of a poem to his girlfriend-to-be on her B-day and finishes it at her funeral after she is murdered by a patient they treated that was insane. It is really sad in the movie and beautiful as it is by Pablo Neruda: "Sonnet XVII". Can I post it here legally?

There is a lady sweet and kind, was never face so pleased my mind; i did but see her passing by, yet i love her till i die.
Her gesture, motion, and her smiles, her wit, her voice my heart beguiles, Beguils my heart, i know not why, And yet i love her till i die.
Cupid is winged and does range, her country so my love does change: but change the earth, or change the sky, I will always love her till i die.[/b]
im such a hopeless romantic.

im such a hopeless romantic.[/quote]
then you might like that poem i was talking about: Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda: I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz, or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off. I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers; thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way
than this: where I does not exist, nor you, so close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep Is it safe to be member and what do you have to do? ;D

wow, i mean wow! thats frickin amazin! who wrote it??
theres a write up about poems thats good and explains it really well:
It is absurd to think that the only way to tell if a poem is lating is to wait and see if it lasts. the right reader of a good poem can tell the moment it strikes them that they have taken an immortal wound - that they will never get over it. that is to say, permanance in poetry, as in love, is percieved instantly. it hasnt to await the the test of time. the proof of the poem is not that we have never forgotten it, but that we knew at first sight we could never forget it.
i think it explains it quite well, (but once again im a hopless romantic lol)

yup it's safe !! but you have to have an e-mail, you can choose to keep it hidden tho.
I luv to write poetry but mine is really never a POEM. I like to write prose poetry.
here is something I wrote after I had a really upseting day at school... having a blast being the person I want to be. don't tell me to change, don't tell me to be more like you, cause get a grip girl; I don't want to. If you want me to be different that prooves you don't want to be friends with the real me, the person I want to be.
see how bad I am?? here is another one...
The rain falls down as we go outside to play That doesn't stop me, I go anyway The leaves fall to the ground I have never heard such a pretty sound. I luv to lay down on the grass Thinking of the present, future, and past. Dreaming about my life today. To the cloudy skys-- I pray Thank you lord, thank you for today. THAT ONE IS SO MUCH BETTER!!
I have more ones, if you did not totally suffer from that one tell me and I shall find them and post them

ok well I am trying to find my other ones... I wrote a really good one about dream. man it was so good. WHERE IS IT?
** well I found another one..
UNWRITTEN unwritten is out life each page is a new day. Each turn is a new chance for the whole world to turn upside down. But at least that way we are truly prepared for the mysteries tomorrow brings For the wise always says 'prepare for the worst, expect the best' For we know the rest of our lives are unwritten

i like that one the best. very dunno mature, is that the right word?
I died for beauty, but was scarce adjusted in the tomb, when one who died for Truth was lain in an adjoining room.
He questioned softly why i failed? "For beauty" i replied. "And i for Truth, - the two are one; we brethren are" he said.
And so, as Kinsmen met a night, we talked between the rooms, untill the moss had reached our lips, and covered our names from our tombs.

Its my fault for being so open Its my fault for being a fool I should have known better than to trust in Illusions because they always break my heart I trusted you to deeply from the moment i looked into your eyes i was mesmerized by your smile the smile hiding the lies but im not so sure anymore I always love what i cant have dont ask me why its just how i am now ive made another mistake and bruised my own ego again
